Among the highlights of the week of Feb. 5, senior Noah Lee and juniors Claire Rizzo and Max Thompson won the Mississippi Poetry Project: Who I Am contest, several MSMS Speech and Debate Team members qualified for the National Catholic Forensic League tournament, and MSMS Quizbowl Team A placed third in the MSMS Spring Invitational II tournament.

Among the highlights of last month, 34th annual Tales from the Crypt performers were selected, seniors Vic West and Maple Griffin matched to colleges through the Questbridge National College Match Program, MSMS teachers Lauren Zarandona and Elizabeth Morgan won STEM grants, and MSMS held classes virtually for one week due to inclement weather.

Senior Sydney Beane returns a shot in her doubles match against Eupora High School on March 19. The MSMS tennis team won its first district match 5-2 against French Camp on March 4 before beating Eupora 5-2.
Junior Ryan Wu returns a shot in his singles match against New Hope on Feb. 26. The Blue Waves won 5-2 at home against New Hope on Feb. 26, marking its second triumph of the season.
Junior Ryan Wu serves against Houston on Feb. 20. The MSMS tennis team posted mixed results against Houston and Heritage Academy in late February, sweeping the former 7-0 and dropping its match against the cross-town competition 4-3.
